I do not know about you... But the past few months have been one up and down after the other. I have had to take breaths, pause, regroup, adjust and talk myself off the ledge more times than I did all last year combined. And last year was a ROUGH one. By far, 2020 is going to be a year for the books personally, nationally and globally. Whew!
The funny thing is, though we are all surrounded by chaos and it seems the world is burning down around us (literally, unfortunately), I still find peace, positivity and hopefulness during this time. I have been struggling internally about sharing these messages of peace and our personal responsibility to uphold it, for quite some time. I did not want to seem out of touch or insensitive to what is happening around us. But honestly, what's happening around us is the very reason I am being called to share these messages.
So here are some pro tips that have helped me. They are not the typical, "smile, life is great!" type of messages, so take back that *eye roll* and read along.
1) TAKE YOUR DAMN POWER BACK!
Right now the media is having a blast being able to increase their VIEWS, get their LIKES, COMMENTS & SHARES by keeping us all engaged with their CONTENT (sound familiar?) By taking time away from the media, to think for yourself, you are taking your power back! What is your Higher Self guiding you to do at this time? Are you even aware of how all of this energy is affecting you? Do you realize how your body carry stress? Where the tension is building up in your body?
All of those questions give us the power to assess and TAKE control of our own feelings! When we constantly feed into what people are giving us, we start to think and act like what is being downloaded into us subconsciously. So it is important that you do not give this 3D realm complete assess to your internal map of peace and happiness.
2) GET GROUNDED
My favorite during this time has been going on nature walks. Sitting in meditation pose has not been my friend lately. Because all of the energy and tension around, and the fact that I have a 6 month old at home, I have not been able to sit criss-cross on the floor for 20-30 minutes like I normally would. And if you are the same, I am here to tell you THAT IS OKAY! ADJUSTMENTS are okay. It is okay to adjust your daily routine to fit your energy and what you are being guided to do. That is why I say TUNE IN. Because when everything around you is changing, everything within is trying to shift as well to keep up and ADJUST. So allow you Higher Self to adjust and just follow suit.
So I have been led to go on many nature walks. To sit and talk with nature. There is a stream of fresh water that I go to daily just to sit there and put my hands in the water. It is calming and soothing to my soul. Find what works for you during this time. Stay grounded and at peace.
Let me tell you. Writing is so therapeutic. I have chosen to write about what is going on around me in my journal. You may think just because you are not looking at the media that what's going on will not affect you and I am sorry to tell you, that is not true. The energy is in the air, honey and it is THICK! It is powerful and it is draining. Honestly, for the first time in my life, I have felt the energy of a spiritual WAR. That is the energy in the air and it is absolutely stressful. So write about it. Write down how you are feeling. You are living through history right now and your thoughts need to be recorded. One day, you can share them with your children or grandchildren. We are the new elders, remember that.
4) EAT CLEAN
Whether it is for a week, a month or a lifetime, now is a better time than ever to adjust how you are consuming food. Your mind needs to be sharpe, your spirit needs to be sharpe and your body needs to be sharpe. The only way to tackle all three at once is through your diet!!!!! My vegan journey has directly affected my spiritual journey and I am more than happy to answer questions for you about it. Just let me know!
Find a way to relax and take your mind off of what is going on. Think before you react and try your best to remain at peace. Change up your routine and give yourself a break. It may be hard to finish tacks right now and that is okay. Life will not be this way forever but it is important that you take the time to check it, constantly and see how you are doing and respond accordingly. If you feel tense, relax. Take a deep breath, release your shoulders, unclench your jaws and continue forward.
I hope this short post will help you move forward in a more positive, peaceful manner. Fill your hearts with love and remember to CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF, just like you would check in with a loved one. Ask yourself "How are you doing?" "Are you okay?" "What do you need?" Trust me, it will make a difference and it will help.
