Okay, now that those are out of the way, lets begin.
as shadow work is looking through your past hurts and traumas and finally digging them up from the subconscious, bringing them to your conscious reality to start processing them and release them from your unconscious actions and reactions. Many of us have these "ways of doing things" and we have no idea why we do them, when we started doing them and where these actions came from. Shadow work, can help you go back in time, realize when things started to shift for you and help you correct your mental and energetic connection to the past. That way, instead of trying to run from who we used to be, we can embrace and appreciate who we were and how far we've come.
Why is this even important?
Embarking on this healing journey is so rewarding. It is internally and externally rewarding because it will truly change your life. When you go back in time to deal with the uncomfortable situations, you will realize that you were never a victim but you have always been in control and you will start to take your power back! While we cannot always control the things that happen to us, we do control how we process and respond to these things. Healing is not always easy but it is necessary for shifting your perspective and freeing you to grow. When you take your power back and remember that the possibilities available to you are endless, you will start to then THRIVE and not just survive day to day.
I want to heal? How DO I get Started?
Making healing apart of your everyday life and not solely focusing on getting through it. Just grow with the flow and keep pushing towards your goal. Healing can be apart of your daily flow. Be more intentional with your energy and how you spend the time you have each day. Get creative! Healing does not have to be a drag all the time! Get out there and have some fun. Try new things, get your energy moving. Release! Don’t fight the flow. If you are having a normal day and suddenly feel a wave of emotion, release them! Energy gets trapped in our bodies, in our memory's “shadow side.” Sometimes we may not even think we have anything to release until you are moving around, doing something that triggers your memories and bomb, emotions bubble to the surface and need to be released. Allow this process to take place. Allow the body to release stagnant energy as well.

I've been on this journey for a while, how do I know if I'm even doing it "right"?
You will know if you are doing it right if you start becoming more self aware. Being aware of your vibration, being more aware of the frequency you’re attuned to and are admitting. You will start catching yourself more! Paying closer attention to your energy levels, what triggers you and most importantly, how you respond to your triggers. You will find that when things start happening, you no longer approach them the same way. You start observing situations before reacting to them. Listening to your thoughts and checking them when they are out of alignment with what you are trying to manifest into your reality. Monitoring your behavior is a big part of healing as well. There is no right way to this but you'll find that you're on the right track when you have started to do some of the things listed above.
