Altars are sacred areas that are devoted to God, Ancestors, Deities, etc. They are the places we use to communicate with the spiritual realm. Though you hear many more people talking about having altars in their home, altars have been around... FOREVER. The first documented altar was in the Bible. Here is an insert from Genesis 8:20-22:

At altars, it is very common to make sacrifices, to summon spirits, to speak with the deceased and to pray. Depending on your beliefs, you have create an altar, or many, for anything. Personally, I have many altars and I use them for multiple purposes. At my office, I have a prosperity altar, in my home, I have my sacred space altar and my ancestor altar. Each altar has its own purpose. 

In my opinion, everyone needs an altar or a sacred space. They are not only for you to bring dead animals, but it can be a place of peace, meditation and a place you find comfort, divine wisdom and guidance. An altar can be your slice of heaven on earth. Having a sacred space can change your life, if you allow it and work it properly. 

Honestly, there is very little difference. I would say the only difference is an altar is where you come to do some type of spiritual work (spells, rituals, divination, etc) and a sacred space is just somewhere you deem holy and your place of peace, divine guidance or somewhere you go to pray in peace. I use them interchangeably but everyone else may not. 

Step 1) Choose your altar/sacred space purpose! This is the fun part. Your options are limitless! You can have many different altars, for many different purposes. Chose what type you would like to set up. A list of examples are below:

• Ancestors (Loved ones that have passed on)
• Prayer
• Meditation
• Peace
• Money
• Career Success
• Prosperity
• Deities (gods & goddesses)
• Lover
• Magickal Workings (Spells, Rituals, Divination)
• Protection 

Step 2) Choose a space. Decide what your space will be used for because your location matters. If you are setting up an altar, you need to keep your intent in mind.

Example) if you are wanting to set up an altar for business success, you may want to keep the altar in your place of business or in the room where the business is being handled.

Example) If you want an altar for your ancestors, you may want to keep it in a room with a closed door, on the first floor as close to the ground as possible. Because of multiple reasons that I can go into on another post or video so comment below if you would like to know more. 

Step3) Setting Up Your Space! Okay, this part is fun too. This is when you get to set up your space to bring in the energy you are desiring to have. I do recommend a table if you are using candles (I have experienced many accidents with leaving them on carpet, whew!) I will list below a few items to keep in mind:

• Air:
• - Sage
• - Palo Santo
• - Incense
• - Feathers
• - Bells, Chimes, Singing Bowls
• - Air Elemental Oils

• Fire
• - Candles
• - Cauldron
• - Fire Elemental Oils

• Water
• - Sea Water
• - Salt Water
• - Fresh Water
• - Sink Water (lol, you get it, water)
• - Water Elemental Oil

• Earth
• - Live Plants
• - Rocks
• - Crystals
• - Dirt
• - Leaves
• - Earth Elemental Oil

• Anything that represents you and the vibe you are going for!
• - Colors
• - Photos 
• - Drawings 
• - Special Items That Go With The Theme
• - Special Altar Cloth

Step 4) Cleanse and consecrate Your Sacred Space and Your Sacred items!

Step 5) Your altar is ready for use!

You do not have to have a super expensive or fancy altar space. As long as you have a space filled with your intention, items that represent something to you and your intention, you are good to go!

​Peace and Love, Always. 

I do not know about you... But the past few months have been one up and down after the other. I have had to take breaths, pause, regroup, adjust and talk myself off the ledge more times than I did all last year combined. And last year was a ROUGH one. By far, 2020 is going to be a year for the books personally, nationally and globally. Whew! 

The funny thing is, though we are all surrounded by chaos and it seems the world is burning down around us (literally, unfortunately), I still find peace, positivity and hopefulness during this time. I have been struggling internally about sharing these messages of peace and our personal responsibility to uphold it, for quite some time. I did not want to seem out of touch or insensitive to what is happening around us. But honestly, what's happening around us is the very reason I am being called to share these messages. 

So here are some pro tips that have helped me. They are not the typical, "smile, life is great!" type of messages, so take back that *eye roll* and read along. 


1) TAKE YOUR DAMN POWER BACK!
Right now the media is having a blast being able to increase their VIEWS, get their LIKES, COMMENTS & SHARES by keeping us all engaged with their CONTENT (sound familiar?) By taking time away from the media, to think for yourself, you are taking your power back! What is your Higher Self guiding you to do at this time? Are you even aware of how all of this energy is affecting you? Do you realize how your body carry stress? Where the tension is building up in your body?

All of those questions give us the power to assess and TAKE control of our own feelings! When we constantly feed into what people are giving us, we start to think and act like what is being downloaded into us subconsciously. So it is important that you do not give this 3D realm complete assess to your internal map of peace and happiness. 

2) GET GROUNDED
My favorite during this time has been going on nature walks. Sitting in meditation pose has not been my friend lately. Because all of the energy and tension around, and the fact that I have a 6 month old at home, I have not been able to sit criss-cross on the floor for 20-30 minutes like I normally would. And if you are the same, I am here to tell you THAT IS OKAY! ADJUSTMENTS are okay. It is okay to adjust your daily routine to fit your energy and what you are being guided to do. That is why I say TUNE IN. Because when everything around you is changing, everything within is trying to shift as well to keep up and ADJUST. So allow you Higher Self to adjust and just follow suit. 

So I have been led to go on many nature walks. To sit and talk with nature. There is a stream of fresh water that I go to daily just to sit there and put my hands in the water. It is calming and soothing to my soul. Find what works for you during this time. Stay grounded and at peace. 

3) WRITE
Let me tell you. Writing is so therapeutic. I have chosen to write about what is going on around me in my journal. You may think just because you are not looking at the media that what's going on will not affect you and I am sorry to tell you, that is not true. The energy is in the air, honey and it is THICK! It is powerful and it is draining. Honestly, for the first time in my life, I have felt the energy of a spiritual WAR. That is the energy in the air and it is absolutely stressful. So write about it. Write down how you are feeling. You are living through history right now and your thoughts need to be recorded. One day, you can share them with your children or grandchildren. We are the new elders, remember that. 

4) EAT CLEAN
Whether it is for a week, a month or a lifetime, now is a better time than ever to adjust how you are consuming food. Your mind needs to be sharpe, your spirit needs to be sharpe and your body needs to be sharpe. The only way to tackle all three at once is through your diet!!!!! My vegan journey has directly affected my spiritual journey and I am more than happy to answer questions for you about it. Just let me know!

5) RELAX
Find a way to relax and take your mind off of what is going on. Think before you react and try your best to remain at peace. Change up your routine and give yourself a break. It may be hard to finish tacks right now and that is okay. Life will not be this way forever but it is important that you take the time to check it, constantly and see how you are doing and respond accordingly. If you feel tense, relax. Take a deep breath, release your shoulders, unclench your jaws and continue forward. 


I hope this short post will help you move forward in a more positive, peaceful manner. Fill your hearts with love and remember to CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF, just like you would check in with a loved one. Ask yourself "How are you doing?" "Are you okay?" "What do you need?" Trust me, it will make a difference and it will help.

- What are they and why do they work?
A spiritual bath is one of the most sacred and sure ways to cleanse your energy. If you are ever
feeling heavy, low, like someone has a hex on you or just need a boost of divinity, a spiritual bath is a sure way to get the job done. It WILL raise your vibrations to your desired state.

Spiritual Baths works wonders because the largest ingredient is WATER. Water is a scared element and it is my favorite element of them all (besides Spirit, you know). Water gives life and without it, NOTHING on Earth would exist, NOTHING. Water is a conductor for energy to flow through. By you charging your bath water with intention (herbs, oils, candles, salts, your words) you are literally building the power of the water and getting it fully ready to send that energy into you as you soak and relax into it. 

- When should I complete a SB?
Definitely complete them as often as you feel called to. Once a month, twice a month or 3-7
days straight if you feel hexed (cursed). They are not ideal for daily use but if you are calling in a specific intention, go with your intuition to manifest accordingly! If you are vibe-ing low constantly, I recommend booking a session to find out what has you so down. It may be self-inflicted, situational or caused by someone else’s energy.

*I use the moon cycle to assist me in my Spiritual Bath. If you preform rituals during the New or
Full moon, it may be ideal that you add a SB to one of those practices or both! *

- How to complete a SB?
My favorite part! First, make sure you have showered and actually cleaned yourself before you
start your bath. The bathroom as to be cleaned as well. No trash in the trash can. Remember
“cleanliness is closest to godliness” and low vibe-ing energy likes clutter and trash.
Once you have cleaned your body and area, it is time to clear your mind and begin your bath.
The key thing to remember with the spiritual bath is that it is a bath with purpose! So, with
everything that you do, add intention. What do you want to gain out of this bath?

Example: “I want to partake in a Spiritual Bath to release negative energy and raise my
vibration!”

Step 1: Start your bath water with your intention in mind and sage your area before you start to
set up

Step 2: Start gathering your materials
- Epsom Salt (Found in any of my Spiritual Bath Soaks!)
- Pink Himalayan salt (Found in my Aura Cleansing Bath Soak: Utopia!) 
- Detox Clay (find this in my Complete Spiritual Detox Soak Nirvana!)
- Relaxing or rejuvenating bath soap (coming soon...)
- Florida Water 
- Candles, candles and more candles (I turn the lights off to keep me relaxed)
- Calming Music (meditation music, jazz, classical, folk music, etc..)
- Crystals
- Incense
- Sage, Palo Santo or any other Smudging Tool
- Anything sacred to you that you feel called to bring in (I bring in things that represent me)


Step 3: Input your bath soap with intention (I am adding __________ to release negative
energy and replenish my energy.

Step 4: Add Epsom Salt, one handful at a time with an intent for each (handful 1: I am releasing
low vibrating energy, handful 2: I am asking for clarity on what needs to go in my life, handful 3:
I am recharged and ready to create the life I desire, handful)

Step 5: Add in Pink Salt and/or Clay, with the same intentions (or different ones, get creative!)

Step 6: Add Florida Water with the intention of getting rid of and clearing negative energy

Step 7: Light each candle with the intention to relax you and bring clarity (protection, peace, etc)

Step 8: Turn on your music if you have not already

Step 9: Set your crystals in and around your bath

Step 10: Light your incense and get into your bath with the intention to receive your desired
outcome.

The YOU inside of you that wants to become a legacy and have the world remember your name. KEEP FREAKING GOING!!!!! You've got this! You are the true MVP. Never forget.

As someone who ate everything (except pork) growing up, changing to a completely plant based lifestyle was a definite change for me. The only difference in myself and others I’ve spoken with, is that I welcomed the change with open arms. Why? Because I care more about the health of my body, spiritual clarity and mind, than any of my ex-favorite foods.

No, I was not one of the people marching against animal cruelty. The change was not started because of the animals, although their health, horrible treatment and living conditions put a final nail in my “omnivorous coffin.” Knowing how energy works, I really can not get past the horrible treatment and eating the meat soaked in depression, sadness and grief. 

In 2015, I was attending church heavily and they implemented fasting into my life. Looking back, I am so thankful for it. The first fast I ever did was the Daniel Fast. No meat, no dairy, no sweets, only whole grains, fruit and vegetables, for 21 days. It was hard as hell but so worth it! I felt clean, sharp, sacred and in good health. It was amazing! I lost 25 pounds without setting that intention and I was very excited about that as well. However, what really caught my attention was how the fast made me feel. From that month on, I fasted once a month for two weeks every month. And then three weeks until I found myself eventually never eating meat or dairy again. 

This change made a profound impact on my spirituality. I am by no means saying you have to be vegan to have a good connection to spirit. I am saying, that the change gave me a stronger, more clearer connection and it allowed me to hear The Almighty more directly by helping me understand my spiritual gifts and how I communicate with The Divine.

The mental clarity help me decipher between my thoughts and the insight from my guides. (Claircognizant) My body clarity helped me decipher between my feelings and me picking up the energy of others surrounding me or when I am completing readings for others. (Clairsentience) The mental clarity also helped me hear the voice of my guides more clearly because I am more focused and observant (Clairaudience). These are just a few ways my plant based diet has enhanced my spiritual connection and I hope they if you do not go vegan, that you at least try fasting and write out your experience before, during and after.
